With official approval by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, the “International Conference on Theory and Policies of Green and Low-carbon Development in China”, jointly sponsored by the Professional Association for China’s Environment (PACE) and Zhejiang A&F University, will be held on June 17-19, 2022, in Hangzhou, China, with both online and on-site sessions. The conference will bring together scholars, government officers, as well as business people to exchange views on mechanisms and regulations of green and low-carbon development, macroeconomic management, and alternative environmental governance strategies. The logistics of the conference will be decided later according to the guidance of COVID-19 control regulations. The conference is now calling for paper submissions.
I. The Conference Theme
The theme of the conference is “Theory and Policies of China's Green and Low-carbon Development”. The manuscripts should focus on, but are not limited to, the following topics:
lInstitutional innovation for green and low-carbon development
lGovernment regulation mechanisms and policies for green and low-carbon development
lMarket incentive mechanisms and policies for green and low-carbon development
lSocial governance mechanisms and policies for green and low-carbon development
lThe legal systemization for green and low-carbon development
II. Time and Venue
Location: On-site meeting will be held in Lin 'an District, Hangzhou city, Zhejiang Province. Zoom link is to be provided for online participants.
Time: June 17-19, 2022 (including pre-conference registration)
III. Specific Requirements for Paper Submission
1. All submitted manuscripts must be unpublished ones.
2. Important Dates:
(1) Full paper submission: June 1, 2022;
(2) Notification of acceptance: June 5, 2022;
(3) Confirmation of participation: June 9, 2022.
3. Each submission must contain:
(1) A cover page,including title, all authors’ names, positions, and affiliations. The contact information of the corresponding author and the participating author should be provided, including mailing address, zip code, E-mail address, phone number, etc.;
(2) A second page, including manuscript title, abstract, and keywords in both Chinese and English;
(3) Main text；
(4) References.
4. The page format is A4, with single-spaced, font 10 Times New Roman, and the reference style refers to the American Economic Review.
5. The paper should be in doc. or docx. format and sent to the organizing committee via email before the deadline. Please use “PACE2022 International Conference on theory and policies of green and low-carbon development in China” as the subject of your email, and name the paper file as “first author's name + paper title”.
IV. Organizers
The conference is co-sponsored by the Professional Association for China’s Environment (PACE) and Zhejiang A&F University, and is hosted by The College of Economics and Management, the Institute of Ecological Civilization and the Institute of Carbon Neutrality, Zhejiang A&F University, and by the Research Academy of Rural Revitalization of Zhejiang Province .
V. Special Notices
1. The conference will adhere to the principle of “attending with submission”. Only the authors with accepted manuscript will be invited.
2. The number of participants to be invited for on-site meetings depends on regulations of local CDC.
3. The conference will arrange parallel sessions in Chinese and English, and a separate session for graduate students.
4. No conference registration fee is required. All of the attendants are responsible for their own accommodations and transportation expenses.
